Kangoo,
Master and Trafic Light Commercial Vans Get Updates from Renault
Renault is about to celebrate its position at the top
of the European light commercial vehicle sales tree for 18 consecutive years.
And what is the better way to do that than giving its Australian LCV range some
kit and safety updates.
Renault Kangoo |
Renault’s best LCVs, Kangoo, Master and Trafic are going
to benefit from these updates, like the Kangoo will be getting side head and
chest airbags as standard. Kangoo diesel engine will remain the same for now though. From
January production, a standard phone-docking module has been added to the
range.
What Trafic Got?
Renault
Trafic has
received enhanced option packages for accessibility and practicality. There
will be a ‘Premium Pack’ made available for the entry-specification single
turbo variant.
Renault Trafic |
But for the twin-turbo
diesel engine variant, the Pro Pack has been updated into Lifestyle Pack
which includes deadlocking capability, auto climate, engine start/stop, LED
ceiling lights, wider-view mirror, media nav, hands-free entry, heavy duty
battery, heated seats and premium dashboard trim.
That is from the inside but from the outside it has
got mirror backs, body-colour bumpers, rear light pillar and sliding door rail,
chrome grille with gloss back Renault logo and 17-inch alloys.
What Master Got?
For the driver all Master variants have received chest
and side head airbag as standard from the second quarter. On all Master light
commercial vehicles, a reversing camera comes standard.
Justin Hocevar |
Justin Hocevar, Renault Australia Managing Director,
said in a statement that “we are confident these product improvements will
provide Australian van customers with even more reasons to purchase one of our
vans during 2016, in addition to our extremely comprehensive reassurance
programmes. These include up to 30,000km service intervals, Capped Price
Services and a long 200,000km warranty.”
How Many Are Sold Worldwide?
Last year the sales of Renault LCV reached 387,000
when sold into 112 countries around the globe. Although the global market
dropped 6.3 per cent but Renault LCV gained an increase and managed to secure
3.8 per cent of global LCV market share. And thanks to the Australian success
which, in Asia-Pacific region, contributed to 15-year-high volumes. Find the
